SOLUTIONS

VirtualUSA

Does your call center receive calls from the USA?

Are the costs adversely impacting your margins? BandTel's VirtualUSA is the answer that you have been seeking; a Toll Free Forwarding and DID Forwarding service that will work anywhere in the world.

Non-US locations can now receive incoming US Direct Inward Dialing (DID) or Toll-free (800, et al) calls at their foreign local exchange telephone (PSTN) location. Utilizing BandTel’s ENUM Server and flexible SIP switching infrastructure allows a virtual extension of US DID and toll-free 800 services to any foreign PSTN termination point in the world. ENUM (Electronic Numbering) translates between a traditional telephone number and an IP address for completion via the Internet.

Call centers or other organizations that receive or would like to receive large numbers of telephone calls that originate from the United States via DID or toll-free service will find this an attractive alternative to expensive leased line circuits.

Key Benefits:

  • VirtualUSA permits US DID and toll-free service accessibility to international destinations which previously had no acceptable method for receiving calls from the US market.
  • US DID and toll-free calls can be translated and transported to any international PSTN termination point in the world.
  • Eliminates the need for leased line circuits that connect the business location to the US for receipt of US-originated calls.
  • Can be provisioned in a matter of hours.
  • Delivers excellent call quality.
  • Offers highly attractive per-minute call prices

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • No need to provision the contact center for VoIP. Rather, the standard PSTN infrastructure is leveraged and utilized.
  • Pricing for VirtualUSA is specific to each country served.

Pricing:

Pricing for BandTel’s VirtualUSA service is designed for each specific country and location within a country. VirtualUSA customers have the choice of the following:

  • Bronze Level Service – This is the least costly service available and provides acceptable quality service for most regions.
  • Silver Level Service – Although slightly more costly than Bronze Level Service, this level is still very cost effective and offers higher aggregate quality than Bronze Level.
  • Gold Level Service – Engineered to use only premium routes for the transit of calls, Gold Level Service offers the highest call quality at competitive rates.

The standard price for VirtualUSA service is derived using the following formula:

  • DID or Toll-Free monthly recurring rate (currently $1.50 for DID and $1.00 for Toll-Free) + DID Usage Fee ($0.0165 per minute) AND/OR Toll-Free Usage Fee ($0.035 per minute) + International Direct Dial rate + Station Termination Fee (If any)
  • VirtualUSA is sold as a PREPAID service based upon the forecasted number of incoming minutes anticipated.

The following information is required for BandTel to provide you with a VirtualUSA quotation:

  • Number of DID numbers required
    • List of Desired Locations
  • Number of Toll-free numbers required
  • Foreign Terminating telephone number- the complete telephone number, including Country Code, is required for termination
  • Projected Number of Incoming Minutes, Monthly

Upon receipt of this information, BandTel’s sales team will promptly prepare a VirtualUSA quote for you.

How It Works

The following diagram illustrates an 800 call being made in the USA, translated by the BandTel switching facility, and the re-routed to a foreign exchange.

This diagram shows how BandTel’s VirtualUSA Virtual Extension allows a foreign TDM based call center to receive 800 toll-free and DID calls from the USA at a low cost. This also shows how the call or contact center can completely bypass a nationally incumbent PSTN.
