Newport Beach, CA, May 20, 2008 – BandTel (www.BandTel.com), the global leader in SIP trunking services, today announced that it has opened a new facility in Portland, Oregon to provide inside sales and technical sales support to customers and partners worldwide. In addition, the company also announced significant expansion in its sales and marketing organization with the hiring of three veteran industry leaders.
The new Portland facility is focused on providing prompt, high quality responsiveness to BandTel’s large and growing number of customers. Of particular note is that this contingency of the BandTel team is equipped to effectively manage a high volume of customer inquiries and promptly refer them to appropriate channels for delivery of service.
In addition, BandTel has recently strengthened its executive management with three key hires. Joel Maloff, who had been serving as BandTel’s Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Larry Anthony has been appointed Vice President of Carrier and Wholesale Markets, and Eric Eckman has been named as Director of Channel Sales.

For more than twenty years, Mr. Maloff has served in a variety of executive level positions within the telecommunications and Internet industries (including CTO, COO, SVP-Corporate Strategy, and GM), and is a well-known speaker and author on topics such as information systems security, network architectures, and Internet industry futures. He is directly responsible for crafting and executing BandTel’s product development and marketing strategies.
Mr. Anthony’s successes and industry experience include executive leadership roles that provided significant industry knowledge in communication systems, impartial consulting, Inter-Exchange Carriers, broadband networks, domestic CLECs and wireless networks. These positions prepared him for the strategic role he played in the development of selling and marketing strategies for a respected, international VoIP technology provider. He is intimately familiar with worldwide telecommunications and will be responsible for managing company’s efforts to expand its product and service offerings to customers in both domestic and overseas markets.
Also a VoIP industry veteran, Mr Eckman is a frequent participant in Internet telephony conferences and a contributor to various industry publications. He will be responsible for working with BandTel’s reseller and distribution partners to drive service revenue, ensure that services are provided satisfactorily and to continue to expand business relationships.
