Peter Sandstrom

Chief Technology Officer

As co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of BandTel, Peter Sandstrom is responsible for setting the technical direction of the company, and driving the company's continuous innovation. Before founding BandTel, he was President of Designer Labs, a cutting edge supplier of SS7 software solutions for the VoIP and IVR telecommunications industry. Prior to that Mr. Sandstrom also held the position of Principle Engineer at Summa Four (acquired by Cisco), a leading supplier of intelligent, programmable switches for use in carrier networks, and was VP of Engineering at MultiLink.

Mr. Sandstrom has been very involved in the migration of the traditional PSTN to packet architectures for many years, and holds claim to being the first to complete an SS7-ISUP to IP call back in the mid 90's.
