National IVR Service Provider Deploys BandTel VoIP Services
Background
CD Communications was utilizing traditional PSTN services. The company recognized a need to reduce costs and offer service enhancements to their clients. With 450 IVR units located throughout the US, the company’s total average PSTN charges equaled $67,500 per month. In addition, site administration averaged $24,000 per month and the total monthly average was $91,500. CD Communication's average monthly minute usage averaged 2,500,000 per month at 2.7cents a minute.
CD Communications was faced with excessive operating costs for a large quantity of individual systems. It needed a cost effective way to terminate calls to Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems other than individual PSTN circuits.
The Challenge
With increasing overhead due to telephone and administration charges, CD Communications wanted to decrease costs in order to increase profitability and remain price competitive in the market. It had heard about the benefits and cost savings with VoIP, so it turned to BandTel to help solve its budget concerns and save money on its telecommunications services.
The Solution
CD Communications implemented VoIP services at their new IVR sites on the East & West coasts of the USA. BandTel was able to provide CD Communications with a 50% savings on its telecommunications costs that totaled $33,500 per month and cut administration charges in half from $16,000 to $8,000.
